That is a very efficient way to accomplish it for certain, and very environmentally friendly (ok, aside from harvesting tree folks, who seem to forget they are renewable if managed well).

I guess most of us are just as passionate about trees and forestry management in a similar way as the 2nd Amendment folks are concerning hunting and wildlife management and the rights associated with them. Some are certainly in both camps.

I think back to the water wheels, windmills, and the way our forefathers worked in industry when I see things like this.

I realize there were safety issues in many areas, yet these folks seem to have it down for their operation.

I am aware of the text. My commentary was the analogy of the ‘passion’ of forestry management to sustainable renewable timberlands, to the ‘passion’ of game management and sustainable renewable game management to insure both the species of timber and species of game remain harvestable, and that the rights of both are preserved, and I wasn’t commenting on the well armed militia defined and guaranteed in the 2nd Amendment.

The NRA who is likely the largest private organization defending our 2nd Amendment rights have no problem whatever associating the rights of hunters within the scope of protecting it, as do I.

There are certainly folks out there who are working to reduce the rights of the woodworkers and the hunters alike, but my focus was on the constructive passion of those who strive to preserve both for generations to come, and the associated rights under which we can.

I also defend the 2nd Amendment fervently for reasons that the founders put it there, but I wasn't trying to hijack the thread. I absolutely love the wind powered sawmill.

OK it looks like we are on the same page. I dont like the gun grabbers saying we wont take your hunting rifle as a cover nor do I like a tree a huger that wants to stop all logging, just where do they think toilet paper comes from.

OK must be a farm thing, we used catalog pages.... Our outhouse always had a few of them stacked up but I think was the aldens with the best paper for the job. When we got indoor plumbing we had to switch to TP, corn cobs might flush OK but septic system would not like that either.
