Remember the old Velveeta Cheese wooden boxes?

Post by robinson46176 »

Those things were great around a shop to keep stuff in. I used to have a batch of them and still have a few but I sold many of them when they became too valuable as collectors items.
I decided this week that I want to make a batch of those for the shop. Not actual reproductions and no printing... Just sturdy light boxes about that size for storage of a lot of small items. Probably use about 1/2" thick stuff for the ends and bottom and maybe even 1/8" tempered hardboard for the sides since the old cheese boxes most often failed when a thin side panel split. Another interesting option for the sides might be plexi-glass.
Probably make about 3 sizes to be even more handy...
