So I have the measuring strips, but if you are not judicial about the opening of the fence from the center line of bit they are just a guide not accurate. What ya you think??

Greenie, Grayling, SS stand alone BS and BS SPT, jointer and belt sander, 3 Ers with Speed Changers. I think those 3 cover my ER needs, and space for them.

Re: what do you think?
Sorry, it is the yellow tape measures that mount on top of the fence.

Re: what do you think?
My choice would be to purchase the table top and fence and build the table and mount the top to the home built table. You can make this sturdier and use your Shopsmith to drill Kregg style holes at 14-15 degree angles for mouting the top to the stand.

Re: what do you think?
I have already done thatI was wondering about the value of the measuring strips? Since you can move the 2 sections of the fence to change the opening width they really would not be accurate.swampgator wrote:My choice would be to purchase the table top and fence and build the table and mount the top to the home built table. Re: what do you think?
On Incra track strips the rules slide in a track so you can adjust the measurements but for the application on a router fence I don't even think about such things. A piece of painters tape and a pencil line works well or set up positive stops is even better.
I do use such things but not for a router table fence as shown, if it is a jig then it is a whole different game.

Re: what do you think?
I wont both bother mounting them, save them for something accurate and I do the same if I am not doing a through route. Just a pencil mark of the fence or clamp a block to it for a stop. That Incra stuff is nice but like Wood Pecker, pricey. I can do without them for the price they want.reible wrote:On Incra track strips the rules slide in a track so you can adjust the measurements but for the application on a router fence I don't even think about such things.
