My apologise/insesitivness
I have talked about my 96 year old mother, and her recent health issues the past year that took her from independent living on her own. My father and her spouse of 60+ years past at 92 a few year ago. Then mom lived here alone till last Oct.
To my point, if my things about mom, which may hit home with yourself or your life time spouse, and either have chronic health issues, and brings up realistic feelings/realizations that you are dealing with. I am sorry. It is not my my intention. My self I will be 64 in a week, and my biggest fear is mom buries me, or as her care giver something happens just out and about in the morning while she is still in bed sleeping, I have a note in my wallet about that, typed in RED next to my driver license, all of the contact info .

Lover, do NOT worry!
Your Mother has lived a long and productive life.
You're a decent member here. You can say what
you want! I will defend to the death that privilege!
(However it is spelled.)

10 ER, stripped down.
Basic 10ER, Parts machine. Will be a semi-dedicated drill-press machine.
10 ER, a "survivor" of the trailer fire, in the back yard, needing restoration. Has a Mk5 headrest. Finally, stripped down.
Numerous parts, for Model 10 stuff. Except for lower saw guard, A and B adapters, I've got it.
Looking for one more, or some 9 inch extension table raisers.

My wife and I have cared for a severely handicapped daughter for 40 years. Your current circumstance and mine are similar, in that we worry about what happens with our daughter should she outlive us. I am sure that there are many users of this forum who face similar situations, as we seem to tilt to the senior side of the age scale. If you are not allowed to share such concerns in this "community" section of this forum, what is the point of it existing. I am sure there are far more folks who understand your situation and are praying for you than there are people who are offended. There should be zero concern from you about what you have shared.

Anyone who is 'offended' by your Mom ramblings needs to get a reality check!
Since when is an individual's tendency to be offended(a mental condition) relevant to what is acceptable to anyone else?

Re: My apologise/insesitivness
ER, most of us have a cross to bear. If not emotional stress for our situation, then some physical for either ourselves or family members. I had planned to work until I was 65, even though I had sufficient age and years at age 55 for Federal service. One day, we were told that our jobs had been contracted. The contractor came in and in 10 seconds decided they didn't need custom databases and that I was dispensable. For about 8 years before I retired, my wife was in a wheel chair with multiple sclerosis, but was getting weaker and needed me home. It all worked out well. I have been home taking care of her mostly since 2003. It does get stressful. Especially, when you are in the middle of cutting out something and she calls saying she needs something. I think many of us understand, especially age and deteriorating bodies that come with age. I can speak for me as my feet burn and hurt because of a pinched nerve in my back, my memory does not always work well, if distracted, it is hard to recover, etc. No need to apologize. I try not to complain about it as I may being forced to grow up some more. Who is to tell? Anyway, my prayers are with you and your situation with your mother. Take advantage of every option available to you.

Re: My apologise/insesitivness
Between replies here and some PMs there are many here in the same or worse care giver situations then
me and mom, that never posted or talked about them here.
So in respect to you all that has had that similar burden, and never posted/vented here I will refrain from my indulgence here, out of respect to the others.
When it is over of course I will give you the news, but right now we are stable.
