Thank you for your help. I am not really a bad guy, just a grumpy old 84 year old Korean Vet.

Attached is a copy of the original packing slip of the purchase you requested. Kinda hard to read but should not be too much of a problem for a Smart *&^. yes it's been thirty years, but So What! If I got shorted, I got shorted. Like I said if they include the Telescopic legs what in the hell were they supposed to be used for? Surely a genius like you should know the answer.

I really could not care less about the packing slip. You are the one that has an interest in this. I was suggesting that YOU do a document search in an effort to "help yourself" solve this mystery.

You are just damned fortunate that Shopsmith is taking this serious. After thirty years I sure would not have expected them to.

Furthermore, looking at the documentation that you did post, it appears to me as though you received all that was shipped. That being two items - an arbor and a table (Level 1 Retro Kit 555135 at $359.00). Could it be that you have two telescopic legs that should not have been shipped to you. Do you also have the four extension tubes and the two t-joint leg fittings? I ask because all you have mentioned is that you do not have "floating tables".

I received 4 extension tubes and the two tube "T" joints with two telescoping legs with rubber pads on the ends.

Seems to me that once I receive an item I have a very short time to verify/confirm receipt. Maybe 30 days, for most vendors. After that, it is typically "on me", unless I use my American Express card which extends purchase protection to 90 days.

You must have received something that was shipped to you separately. Your shipping document specifically refers to part number 555135 and gives a list price of $359.00.

The extension tubes, telescopic legs and t-joints are part of a separate item (Level 2 Retro Kit, $150) which sold for $459.00 and included everything in the Level 1 Kit plus floating tables [MIA], extension tubes, telescopic legs and t-joints.

The floating table 514446 at that time sold for about $50.00 each. The extension table kit (555137) included 2 floating tables ($98.00), two telescopic legs($36.00), 2 t-joints ($30.00) and 4 connector tubes($12.00) and sold for $150.00.

Prices in parenthesis and small print are prices if sold separately.

Maybe you are waiting for a back-order. :)

That was the Level 1 Kit price. Maybe the memory is not to sharp after 30 years. ;)
