'Reasonable' conjecture would be he got more than that(legs etc.).

'Unfounded' conjecture would be some other things resident here especially that which ignores already established 'facts'(records from that time simply do not exist in computer files).

Perhaps they do exist in paper form(something I doubt - a likely victim of recent 'downsizing'). More conjecture on both counts!
JPG, Dusty, let it go, we all want to be right, me too at times. My Mother in Law and X wife would beat a horse to death, then would keep beating it to life again, just to proof a point or in there mind, be correct/right
This is one of the many "Dead Horse" stories I would send my bosses when we disagreed on a work task. Sorry, I like dead horse stories.

Dakota tribal wisdom says that when you discover you are riding a dead horse, the best strategy is to dismount.
However, in business we often try other strategies with dead horses, including the following:
1. Buying a stronger whip.
2. Changing riders.
3. Saying things like "This is the way we always have ridden this horse."
4. Appointing a committee to study the horse.
5. Arranging to visit other sites to see how they ride dead horses.
6. Increasing the standards to qualify as a dead horse rider.
7. Appointing a tiger team to revive the dead horse.
8. Pass legislation declaring that "This horse is not dead."
9. Unilaterally declaring, "no horse is too dead to beat."
10. Blaming the horse's parents.
11. Providing additional funding to increase the horse's performance.
12. Do a Cost Analysis Study to see if contractors can ride the horse cheaper.
13. Declare the horse is "better, faster and cheaper" dead.
14. Revisit the performance requirements for horses.
15. Promote the dead horse to a supervisory position.

Bill, sounds like every bureaucratic committee I've had the misfortune to be on.

One quick comment, exactly in what post did I "Diss" Admin???? Also I have looked in vain so far for a packing slip that would indicate a separate order for level II. Hopefully it will turn up.

Surely you jest! You want me to look for a "Second Box" of a shipment made 30 years ago?? If you look at the copy of the packing list posted above, it shows two items were shipped. The upgrade table and a 5/8" arbor. I don't remember if the arbor was in a separate box or not. Based on your statement, it would appear I was shorted a box if the upgrade should have been in "Two" boxes. In any case I do not nor have I ever had a floating table for my SS.

Thank you for your help. I am not really a bad guy, just a grumpy old 84 year old Korean Vet.

We all get grumpy at times, but we are all responsible to check any orders received from anywhere in a timely manner. Most companies would have no records of orders over a decade old. Me, my business has virtually every record back to when my grandfather started it in 1923!

Don't "give up" Don.

Hang in there until Shopsmith tells you that they are unable to rectify the situation. Admin told you that if you would provide some additional information he would continue to work the problem at his end. Allow him time to do that. He has shown, time and again, that he does what he says.

This does not mean, necessarily, that you will receive a pair of floating tables but it should give you satisfaction that you and Shopsmith have done what could be done under the circumstances.

The simple fact that you received three of the four items that make up a Level 2 Retro Kit means a lot and I can not buy into the theory (even though I stated it early in this communication) that Shopsmith shipped those items without good reason

Apparently I Erred! So you were dissing Dusty? :o

Regardless somebody was dissed undeservedly.

Like Dusty said, do not give this up(yet!).

Do be nice to Admin, he has already gone beyond the extra mile. :)

I agree the conjecture has been beaten to death! ;)

I do believe the comment was directed at me and not at Admin but either way I see "no disrespect at all". Frustration maybe but no disrespect.
