bandsaw alignment

I just got a Mark 7 and I am trying to align the bandsaw table
it is square with the blade from left to right and the blade aligns with my miter
however, the table is lower in front of the blade than the back of the table
If I put a square on the table in front of the blade where it touches the bottom of the blade at table level, the square is about 1/2" from the blade at the top of the level

Do you know how to fix this?

I just checked mine, it is an oldie cast iron table, I have about an 1/8" out of square on the back side of the blade. I am thinking though what difference does it make? If square left-right, that is what counts, and if you have your upper and lower blade supports/bearing set correctly. Maybe I am missing something here? I will wait for the real experts to chime in.

This is a feature of the shopsmith bandsaw. It should help with resawing at least in theory.

If you want to get rid of it you will have to shim the table, a couple of washers on the low end will take care of it.

thanks, The reason I was asking was: If I wanted to cut part way thru a piece and have the cut square where the blade stops-for example a square notch out of a corner of a board

That was my thought, about the washers, while shaking some Vodka, Vermouth and and ice, and I see your point, which a thought also while shaking the Vessel.
