"Are there any upcoming sales on the upgrade kits?"

Dave, old buddy, we are in the midst, I say the egg-zact center of the most maginificient, propicious, and auspicious Upgrade Sale in all of Chistendom. Been going on for a month. Will continue for a month more. After that, we will likely never see the likes again in this age or any other. Not until the Rapture, maybe not even then.

But wait! There's MORE. Order right now -- right this very minute -- and we will send you completely and evidently free of charge, a brand-spanking-new DVD video starring yours truly (Nick Engler) as the bumbling-but-lovable woodworker who takes a vintage Mark V Model 500 and magically transforms it right before your very eyes into a better-than-new Model 510! And if that were'n't enough, before you can catch your breath he takes the 510 and transforms it into a Model 520! No strings, no mirrors, just good old-fashioned mechanical ability of the highest order. Women swoon. Grown men weep. Small children are bored beyond reckoning and beg you to switch to Barney.

I tell you, Dave, it just doesn't get any better.

With all good wishes,

I'm sold...really look forward to that 520 upgrade. I also confirmed that I have the bolt/nut scenario. I'll call Linda to discuss and order a few other parts for my 1954 restoration. Upgrading and restoring two Mark V's simultaneously with a full time job, wife, and a new born can be quite challenging!

Thanks...love this tool and the entire customer support and culture that goes with it.

Hey Dave,

I looked to see where you are located but your personal profile does not say.

I was going to volunteer to do one of those upgrades for you. Oh well.;)

Dusty,

Just ordered the upgrade from Linda (and a few other parts for my 54' restoration too).

Thanks for the offer...this will be enjoyable! Can't wait to get it. Looks like a couple of weeks so I hope they can get it to me sooner.

Thanks Linda for your help today...and Nick's referral.

Dusty--I'm in Northern Virginia. I was also hoping to see a road demo soon in my area.

Rick's schedule looks to be packed for the rest of this year and I don't see Virginia.

I am making a guess that Rick will be in Virginia Jan/Feb. He did say that he was going to visit there, and that time frame wood be about right, looking at the rest of his schedule.:)

I definitely want to catch him when he is in town. Can you sign up in advance?

He reads the forum; I believe he'll contact you now.

However, I think he is home this weekend between TA sessions. He was in Tucson last Wednesday-Friday and I know he was headed to Chico, California when he left here.

Give him a week to get back on the circuit.
