Oh, if an ER it can be quite heavy(or difficult to take apart).

The Greatness officially starts
Greenie, Grayling, SS stand alone BS and BS SPT, jointer and belt sander, 3 Ers with Speed Changers. I think those 3 cover my ER needs, and space for them.

OK, except for the way tubes, I got ALL of
a Model 10, into 2 bins. (Those blue storage
bins you can get at Wally World.)
Oh, a 10 year old boy could have carried
out ALL the parts of a Model 10. (One at
a time, though.)
If I'm not mistaken, the Mark series ShopSmith
is lighter, when broken down. (But, the headstock
on the Mark series still has a motor in it. Maybe
not.) Get a 13 year old kid.

10 ER, stripped down.
Basic 10ER, Parts machine. Will be a semi-dedicated drill-press machine.
10 ER, a "survivor" of the trailer fire, in the back yard, needing restoration. Has a Mk5 headrest. Finally, stripped down.
Numerous parts, for Model 10 stuff. Except for lower saw guard, A and B adapters, I've got it.
Looking for one more, or some 9 inch extension table raisers.

Re: Heads Up - Bargain 'available'
A Mark HS with the motor is heavier then an ERs with its motor detached. Otherwise about equal. I never weighed them just lifted/carried them. Not fun, an ER with motor, awkward balance point. After that first time just easier to take the motor off and make 2 trips up the stairs!!!skou wrote:OK, except for the way tubes, I got ALL of

A "Smith Shop" 520 and bandsaw for $650. I'm not seeing floating tables. Speed dial looks turned for not being "used".
