I felt like taking it easy today. I had planned on getting out and working on a shelf for under my over head router but I got a late start and by the time I got outside it was already hot and after the rain the moisture level was pretty high.
I had ordered 3 more of these:
https://www.amazon.com/Stanley-25-Remov ... N12MCZ7NZ2
And they arrived today so I ventured in to the garage to fill them. And that I did. I still wish they sold the little boxes inside separately so I could build my own collection of sizes in a container. I did manage to shuffle a few around container to container to fit my needs a bit better.
The three was a bit of an under statement as they filled up and now I know I need a lot more. I went ahead and order another 3 but that will be it for this month. Maybe getting about 6 of these a month for the next few months will be the way to go.
My storage rack for these is already filled so I guess I have to add that to my list of projects. If I build the same rack it holds up to 30 of this size or a mix of larger and smaller sizes giving pretty good usage of the various options.
Once I fill up the next 3 I will have a better idea how many more I want to deal with this year. As of now I have a feeling 20 might not even be enough.
It was interesting find some stuff that I had misplaced, just this week I had gotten some more large nylon washers because I could find the ones I thought I had, found them, so now I have a lot of them.
By the time I'm done Adam Savage will wish he had my storage system. See his here:

Re: Storage yet again
More amazing than his storage system is his wide selection of items to be stored; saying nothing about the number of duplicate items (like drill bits) that he has.
I wonder is he has some sort of connection with the various vendors.

Re: Storage yet again
If I counted right the cabinet has 26 boxes/bins and another 2 up on top for a total of 28. I've got a cabinet with 20 boxes/bins and have 4 that don't have a place for yet. That gives me 24 and three arriving tomorrow so I'll be at 27. Next month I plan to get more and over take his collection.
Not going to try and match the drill bit collection how ever I might have as many bits but more wood related.
