August 1 and Dec 1 Shop Maintenace

Post by ERLover »

Tomorrow All cast Iron will be buffed with a Green Scotched Pad, then wiped clean with Denature Alcohol, then a coat of wiped on 2lb cut of dewaxed Shellac, then the next day buff with a brown paper bag, wipe again, then a JPW coating. Steel will be cleaned and waxed.
Painted surfaces/Melamine surfaces wiped down the same, then just waxed, just smooth as silk!!!!!
TS, CPMS blades soaked in a Baking Soda solution with a titch of MS to clean them up with a Brass Brush. Then some wax on the blade body, not the teeth.

The Greatness officially starts :D :D :D :D :D :D
Greenie, Grayling, SS stand alone BS and BS SPT, jointer and belt sander, 3 Ers with Speed Changers. I think those 3 cover my ER needs, and space for them. :)

Sadly, the originator of this post has passed but I will suggest an answer to your question. Try Johnson Paste Wax (ORIGINAL).
