Catching up - New cabinets in the garage/shop

Great job on the cabinet. I need to make one, but I know I will not get to it soon. Too much stuff in my way! Did you need to secure it to the wall to keep it from tipping when you pull out the jointer?

Thanks, Chris. It's not secured to the wall, but I've been thinking I should just to be safe. The jointer is relatively low and the base of the cabinet is pretty heavy because I made a "sub base" to level it because my floor has something like 1/4 grade to it back to front (~4 inches higher at the back wall than at the front door over 20 feet); the cabinet is on the left wall looking from the overhead door. The cabinet is 72"H x 36"W x 25"D, the shelves are 22.5" D.

You can't have too many cabinets unless you run out of walls to mount or park them on.

Super nice work, Craig! Have never seen the ladder system before It, looks like an super functional system, and you did an excellent job making it! The dadoes are very clean and they allow the "base for the slides" to fit very nicely.

When a woodworker wants a cabinet that holds heavy items, this is the way to go! Thanks for your thread!~!

One of the structural niceties of your work is; the ladders are exact duplicates - giving the shelves an opportunity to be level.. Also your work to align the slides on their bases, shows yeoman work.
