Belt sander supplies

Post by ChrisNeilan »

So, to take advantage of the sale ending today i thought i would order a few things. I see that therer is a sale on sanding belts. What grit do you use the most, and do you frequently change belts?

I have a 80, 120, 180 and then a 220 I think, or close to those numbers on mine. I dont use it much but with a belt dressing gummy they last pretty long. That is subjective to use though. My wood supplier has a drum sander with a Oscillating Head they run 100 on and comes out more like 120 grit. So they do most of mine, they charge minimal for machine time.

Greenie, Grayling, SS stand alone BS and BS SPT, jointer and belt sander, 3 Ers with Speed Changers. I think those 3 cover my ER needs, and space for them. :)
