Indiana tornadoes
Hopefully, all our Hoosier buddies are safe.
Re: Indiana tornadoes
So far so good for me! Will have to find out whether anyone in my area got too much to deal with. The area got smacked pretty hard in late 2013 also.
Thanks for asking,
Chris

Summer weather sucks. I'm ready for it to end and the beautiful Fall weather to replace it. Even Winter here is nice and calm.
Spring and Summer are the seasons I have learned to hate.

Talked to brother in law half way between TerraHaute and Indianapolis he says it keeps raining. He is high and dry but the low land around him is water soaked. Then if it isn't raining then it is so hot. He is not a happy camper right now.

Went north of us in Avon, IN. Looks like most of the damage was tree-related.

Re: Indiana tornadoes
We do get our share of disastrous tornadoes in Indiana but the news guys fake a lot of crap too.
Every little storm The reporters run out and scour the country side for any damage. It it is insignificant they find some weak rotted old tree that has fallen from fright and shoot 20 minutes of video of it showing it full frame and from 37 different angles. I once saw a weather guy make a full evenings news out of one 4" diameter limb about 15' long.
We have had about 10" of rain here this week and the road is closed just north of my farm but I am high & dry and the water will be gone by morning. I have 2 other directions I can go to get out from here to town or where ever.
My basement woodshop is bone dry.
We went to the Indiana State Fair today. It was about rained out yesterday but today turned out decent after some morning rain. Diana and I both took umbrellas but neither of us opened them. Once again I was saddened by the absence of Shopsmith...

As it increasingly has been, one of the biggest problems with the day was the excess presence of gravity around the fair grounds but I was able to find a large number of places to sit and rest a bit...
Getting old is such a hoot...

Re: Indiana tornadoes
This turned out to be a funny on me.. Going down the list of topics I was about to puff out my chest and tell everyone about my great BLTs . He He He Back to real post.. I had a lot of small branches and leaves, I got out the next day and there where many trees down. I live in the area that had rotation on top of us for 40 min. Broad Ripple. Two streets over a 40 to 50 ft. tree came down on house. hundreds of lindon trees snapped off, most trees that snapped were under 1 ft. around. Many larger ones just pushed over . And after all of this I only lost one tornadoes plant and an large egg plant,LOL All is well thanks for caring. DOW
