Too Hot Out Today

Post by UncleSnick »

Hi All,

I live in Eastern PA and it was smoking hot today. When I came back from a trip to the grocery store the temperature was 101 with high humidity. My wife had been asking for six 'money trays' for the High School snack stand that she runs. Sure you could buy them but, naturally, I decided that the cool temperatures in my basement shop would be just the thing for today. Like my avatar says, it was Nuthin' fancy but it kept me out of the heat and I made a lot of sawdust which always makes a good day to me. Below are a pictures. The first coat is drying. They'll get another coat tomorrow then they go off to the high school.

Very nice job with the money drawers!!!

I feel your pain with the heat... This stuff can leave anytime it wants to!

If the dew-point would come down a few notches it wouldn't be so bad but dang its been nasty outside.

Ditto! Real nice job on the money drawers! :)

Concerning outside temps and humidity - The last couple days have been in the 100s and relative Humidity was as low as 2% at noon.. This makes for a little Vasoline in the nostrils (cuts down the burning feeling) and wind makes for more wildfires.

I doubt he missed a zero. He lives in Lancaster, CA which is in the desert.

Even here in Utah where I live summer humidity is in the low teens many days and even hits single digits occasionally. When the humidity gets above 20% you really start to notice it.
