They must have rethought that policy because I just logged into my social security account yesterday with only my username and password. No text pin was required.

They must have rethought that policy because I just logged into my social security account yesterday with only my username and password. No text pin was required.

I just got an email from SSA saying that they're not requiring the text message authentication, just "strongly recommending" it. Email says they're also working on an alternative scheme. Can't wait for that one!
