I believe good judgement is needed to prevent 'deletion'. If it would offend anybody, it is likely not a good thing to post.

Yes there are differing thresholds for being offended, but to err on the side of caution is a good idea.

Not 'advice' I have followed myself in the past, but I realize some folks have a much lower threshold than I.(mine is very high ;) )
JPG I disagree, if I have to tolerate/sucome to someone with the lowest level of tolerance for my opinion/view point of being offended, it is there issue, not mine!!! Are we going to Dumb down everything to everybody??? OBTW mine is high too, but life is tuff, get a helmet if you cant handle it. Yes there are some that dont have the mental capacity, but the other whiners need to step UP, not WE step down to them. It will only weaken them more, not train them up.
Now rudeness is an other issue.

Maybe being 'civil' needs to be considered. ;)

My opinion of "political correctness"?

Political correctness states that it IS
possible to pick up a TURD, from the
CLEAN end!

Sorry if I got to graphic here.

10 ER, stripped down.
Basic 10ER, Parts machine. Will be a semi-dedicated drill-press machine.
10 ER, a "survivor" of the trailer fire, in the back yard, needing restoration. Has a Mk5 headrest. Finally, stripped down.
Numerous parts, for Model 10 stuff. Except for lower saw guard, A and B adapters, I've got it.

Looking for one more, or some 9 inch extension table raisers.

I agree! Sometimes the village idiots that think they are Mensa members need to be insulted to bring them back to reality. Way too many people with absolutely no common sense live among us. They make really stupid statements/decisions and everyone else is expected to stand around and say nothing in the name of political correctness.

I agree regarding political correctness, but don't make the mistake and not differentiate between political correctness and downright arrogance and rudeness. Filtering and political correctness are two different concepts. The deleted post which I did read prior to deleation was more than pushing the limits.
Now, let's all just try to be nice! I'm off my soapbox! Time to make some shavings.

For the record. The post was "Not" intended to be a political post. It is only political because some here choose to make it political. The post was merely pointing out the fact that unfortunately this country has digressed into a "Two" law system. One set of laws for the upper crust who seem not to be able to tell the truth habitually and lie constantly and are not held accountable and another set of laws for us peons whose lives can and are destroyed for telling a lie that has no consequences. A lie is a lie but the degree of it's definition and who and how it effects others is what matters. if you choose to make it political so be it. I apologize to anyone that I have offended with my remarks.

To: Mr. degreen;

I wanted to tell you "I feel your frustration". As a fellow octogenarian, I too am frustrated with the many changes occurring throughout our life's spans.

So far, I've found this forum kinda like a family discussion around a Thanksgiving table. Just like that discussion, We get heard better when not shouting and can ignore, when appropriate.

Us old guys need to stick together.
Octogenarian's have an earned right to be a curmudgeon.

Charlese

Thank you for your analysis of a point well taken. I truly fear for the up and coming generations that they may never see the life style we have enjoyed and taken for granted during my life span. It seems everything is being "Dumbed down" to accommodate the few. I always thought we were a nation predicated on the "Law". But not any more. All one has to do open your eyes, and read a lot of history and take what you hear from the media with a "Grain of Salt".
