I am 4-5 miles away from the closest grocery store let alone a woodworking store or a big box store. I shop 90% of the time at the Commissary for my groceries on Hill AFB because of the savings. It is 10 miles away. Of course that is the same distance in the last few years of active duty and the last 15+ years of working on base as a civilian I drove every day.

Woodcraft is about 40 miles south and HD and Lowes are about 5-6 miles away. No big deal, that is the way it is living out in the country and I would not change that for anything.

you have it made, where I am at in Tn it is a 50 mile round trip for major shopping like a lowes, HD or Walmart
