Gene I totally agree on the coffee, never been a fan of southern BnG but maybe never had good ones.

Making coffee in the two quart pot at my wife's Norwegian Uncle's ranch, the following were the instructions:

Fill with water, put in 5 handfuls of coffee, add a couple of egg shells and boil.

found out egg shells work to settle the grounds.

If I had the time and energy, this is how I would start every day. BnG is one of my absolute favorites, and no day is doable without a good pot of coffee!

Mmm....so yummy. My favorite breakfast right there. I like biscuits and gravy for brinner too.

One thing could make that breakfast better. Sausage gravy thick with pieces of sausage!
And of course a nice helping of grits!

yeah, Ed. BnG has to have sausage. And love grits, too.
Like my left over grits stored in the fridge then sliced and fried in bacon grease. Add some butter and syrup. MMM good.

I don't know whether I agree or not. The coffee and the biscuits and gravy all sound good BUT

the first cup of coffee and maybe the second are best if consumed on the patio while watching the sun come up. As for the biscuits and gravy, well they are all good also but I prefer mine made with chorizo.
