September 2016 Projects

Post by delong94 »

Someone started the August 2016 Project thread. I thought I would start the September thread. I made these drying racks in the shop this weekend. I still need to add the hardware and paint. I uploaded one photo from the net and the one of my project.

Looking good. What do you dry on them?

Super Idea! I'd make one today if wall space was available. Geeze! You can hang or sit wet stuff to dry.

I made one before for our laundry room. I made smaller ones for the bathroom for towels, wet bathing suits, etc.

I have seen a golf ball in a block before and after watching a Woodlogger video I decided to make one. I used a piece of poplar scrap (would have been easier with a soft wood like bass). If you can see the logo on the ball it is the Presidential Seal. I found it on the golf course several years ago the day after President Bush played a round of golf there.

I've been working on a set of cedar rocking chairs. I have one assembled and have the second one ready to sand before assembly. I purchased the plans from SS but modified them after making a test one from scrap wood. I thought the seat height was too low so increased the leg length to move the seat up 2 inches.
