What impresses me is he recognized it.

How many of us would recognize the Jamaican national anthem?

Kapernack said that it was his choice whether to take a knee or take a seat. I have another thing he can take, "take a hike"!!!

He is a lucky slum punk, that made it big for a year or 2 in the NFL but now is a struggling to be a 1st stringer.
Maybe he should talk about the ones in Chicago that are shot on the average every 2 hours, and 522 DOAs to date, non of these #s are at the hands of the police.
Yet no body talkes about this in any major city, what it cost an ER to treat these gunshot hoodlums and victims, about $500K in the ER and ER surgery, and then about 25K a day if in ICU. and who is paying for it??????

WOW...this thread sort of morphed into something that has nothing to do with Dallas and their inability to call a correct play...lol... all I was saying was Bailey is one of the best field goal kickers in the league and to not let him take a shot at a 62 yd FG for the win (dallas 45 plus 10 for end zone and 7 for the field placement=62 yds) was crazy, why waste the last play on a pass up the middle (stupid play with no chance to stop the clock) and not at least give bailey a chance, he made a 54 yd FG the week before with room to spare, easily, I think he could made that FG and won the game, that is what made me so mad, they didn't even give him a chance...that has absolutely nothing to do with another player from another team standing or sitting for the national anthem...you want to talk about that... start another thread...really...try to focus

I have spent 40 years of my life defending this country so that Kapernack can do what he wants. Disrespecting the symbols of the very country that has allowed him to do that is just wrong.

He needs to do it another way. Rosa Parks did not disrespect our country's symbols. She just sat in the front of the bus and that made changes. The students in Greensboro NC, when they sat down at the Woolworth's lunch counter did not disrespect the symbols of our country. That made a change.

Now, Kapernack's protest has not done anything to further the reason why he says he did it. All it has done is is a national discussion about the flag and the anthem as it should be.

It seams like he doesn't really want to make a difference, just get his name in the media. What is his next move to pursue this agenda?

His protest is not wrong, his method is wrong.

JS I agree he has a protest just his method is wrong.
Just as good as watching the Devils Team Loose in Jerry Jones Stadium,
Is Tom Brady loosing in Foxborrogh :D
They all should take a humble attitude like the Great Green Bay Packers QPs over the years, just do it, and when the Gun Slinger threw the last one away to loose it, OWN it like he did. But won many the same way!!!!

It was obvious with Bret Farve the way he came out of the tunnel, Bright eyed, helmet in the air, energetic, a win.
Slow to the occasion, helmet at hip, dazed eyes, a lost game.
My Bro a PA, ER supervisor, Mental health PA, noticed that for years and called the games, when Bret was using, and the scores/wins/lose were equal to that.
