I use firefox on Windows 10. Am getting the Shopsmith pop up often, but only on the Shopsmith forum. Annoying yes, but not obnoxiously so. I have not seen it on my Ipad or Iphone.

I run Windows 7 Professional on my lap top with Firefox and have not had a problem. Out in the shop today with an older HP computer with Windows Vista and Firefox I got a pop-up for the MK 7 every time I went to a new page on the SS site. Not like a different forum topic page but like product manuals or parts lists etc.

I will have to check if block pop-ups is turned on in FF in the shop but, I will be surprised if it is not.

Asking for some debugging help. In Firefox do you have it set to not allow coookes? (after showing the pop-up we intend to set a cookie that would prevent showing them for a couple of months).

The pop up just happened on my phone, twice in a row then it hasn't shown up again. I have no idea if the phone sets cookies or not but I don't block them on any of my systems. How ever I run software on the computer that finds "bad" cookies and deletes them.

I really don't like any pop up ads...........

I already own way too much shopsmith stuff and do not need any shopsmith pop ups appearing.

It would have been interesting to see if the ad would have come up on this computer as it runs adblocker plus. I'll see about adding that to the phone now.

I don't think so. I think whatever the defaults are is what i use. I'll check when i get to that computer in the morning. The pop up ad in question is the registration one.,that is the only one I have received so far...

No, I've NEVER capitalized my name.

And, am not about to start.
I don't take myself seriously, why
should any one else do so?

It is not a pen name, but a shortened version
of the name I was blessed with at birth.

10 ER, a "survivor" of the trailer fire, in the back yard, needing restoration. Has a Mk5 headrest. Finally, stripped down.
Numerous parts, for Model 10 stuff. Except for lower saw guard, A and B adapters, I've got it.

Looking for one more, or some 9 inch extension table raisers.

Firefox 48.0.2 - cookies enabled - My recollection is pop ups are few and far between(essentially non obtrusive).

P.S. Do you not use cookies to keep track of posts read etc., or is that done 'up in your memory banks'?

Folks here may want to know what is kept in the cookie jar.
