I keep 2 $20s and a $50in the console just in case I for got my wallet or whatever.

When I get down to a dollar or two I get another $20. Probably once a month or less. Summer time is more frequent due to buying fresh things at the farmers markets in the area. We have a lot of individual stands that are on the honor system so you need to put cash in the box. So there are coins in the car and $1 bills in my wallet.

I use my debit card every where. I know a lot of you guys and gals don't believe in them but my credit union has a 100% fraud replacement policy. I have never had to use it and have been using a debit card since they first were available. I have even had them call ME almost immediately after they have seen something they thought was suspicious.
JSB you can/could keep a few more in your wallet, they dont wear out or expire!!!! ;) They do make smaller denominations. Or do you need to ask for one from the SO?? :)
No she has to ask me for cash. As I said, I use my debit card all the time. Except on line. Normally no need for cash.

Oops! Sometimes even when I proof read (and I almost always do) I still miss things.

Busy day but I did get to Aldi store picked up one of the outlet/lamp units. Have not had time to open the box and try it but I see no reason to not think it be fine.

Aldi stores are not my favorite place to shop for several reasons but I think it was either last fall or early this spring the shopper/flyer came and and an Aldi advertisement with all these credit cards they now took...... well we went thinking that they would be taking my Discover Card. Got the stuff we wanted and then found that at that time they would do debit on cards but not charges. Hence my question.

Today I was able to use my Discover Card but they are not chip equipped, took my chances. So to answer my own question, yes they are taking Discover Card and as a charge. I had hope to have a personal answer from someone who has done so but well you take your chances here when you ask questions here.

So we had to scramble around in pockets and wallets and find enough cash. I normally keep a $20 bill in my wallet and then somewhere near $20 in my pocket. Most items if under $10 I can pay for with cash and do. Once I'm above my pocket cash I'd rather use my credit card. Sometimes of course if I've been to several places I run low on cash and resort to using a credit card for lesser amounts.

I take out cash in say $200 amounts but only carry the lesser amounts with me and replenish at home. I last got $100 on 7/28 and still have $49 left. We are planing on going to a Hunting and Fishing day celebration tomorrow so that will let me get a few treats and still not need more cash for another week or so.
