SS AIR COMPRESSER

I have obtained the above item and wondering what psi it produces? May not be very adequate as they do not sell them any longer. Anyone have any information about them?

This is all I have on the Shopsmith Air Compressor. Be aware, there were two version and I don't know which one this is. The later was said to be a bit more capable.

I believe this is the older version since it says it is a diaphragm type. The newer one is a piston type as I understand it.

It is definitely the early style in the picture shown, based on the text reference to the use of garden hose to extend the hose length.

The hose adapter is shown in the inset which opened and allowed a garden hose to extend the air line.

You may be able to get up to 50 PSI in a static environment. 30-40 PSI working pressure for use with a spray gun. I found an air tank helps with this compressor and spray gun. The tank top get very hot, will burn you, after just a short time. I used this setup with a low volume spray gun to paint Mark Vs for a few years.
