I have had a new draw cut and double rabbit joints out of 1/2" Baltic Birch and fitted, for my new WW drawwer, just needed a light 150 grit sanding and time to glue up. I have the rough front Mable piece for it waiting for final sizing. Well, with mom being a bit down, and constant interruptions, nurses, calls, ect, finally moms lungs are clear and doing better, tonight I turned off the phone, put mom in her recliner after dinner and did it, I mean it took 20 minutes after a dry fit. I love the Rockler fat plastic 6" corner squares and then the clamps. Ya pics I know!!
It is about 36" wide X 14" deep, with about a 9" deep drawer and will add a slide able upper tray.
Now to the pic add, torture!!!! If they go not to pain full, I am getting this easy, then more Pics to come with the face piece and the Rockler drawer face clamps ect.
Finally, glue up!

The Greatness officially starts
Greenie, Grayling, SS stand alone BS and BS SPT, jointer and belt sander, 3 Ers with Speed Changers. I think those 3 cover my ER needs, and space for them.

Re: Finally, glue up!
The big news on this, I want to use and abuse my $99 Rocker HVLP sprayer on this with Shellac. WoodCraft this past weekend had a Demo with the Earlux 5500 that sells for $299 on sale at 1pm, Rockler has also demos, also at 1pm and once a year for $279. Ya moms schedule has always gotten in the way.
So with Jeff Jewitts spray book and DVD I will wing it, if the weather is right, but a cool front coming in tomorrow for a week, only high 50s-low 60s.
Anyway time to take it out of the box, and just go for it!!! A bit of book knowledge and hands on experience will make me a bit more knowledgeable person.

Re: Finally, glue up!
As expected and usual, JPG will analyses all in the pic, yep my bike, I get on it about 5 times a week for about 40-50 minutes, and the same Mobil 1 on the ER table for a bit of counter weight.
First pic off to the side is the Maple rough sized drawer front. A maiden in waiting, some Trans tint dye, BLO, Shellac to make it look old, then Oil based Poly.
Ya big D, those pics will come too.

Re: Finally, glue up!
I'm looking forward to seeing how that finishing process works out for you, ERL. I'm setting up to spray oil-based poly over shellac on the panelling in my secret room, and am also a newbie to HVLP.
I'm working on a fume-extraction system first, as this is a small room with no windows. Bought a new respirator for the project as well.

Hope you were not depending too much on those rockler corner clamps to get things square........ I found mine flex a LOT so while they can help you got to watch them like a hawk. Not sure how many you have but they are on sale for $9.99 now. They had a big display of them in the center isle.
Let me know what you think of them after checking the glue up.

Re: Finally, glue up!
I have 4 of them that size and 2 of the smaller ones. I used 2 on the drawer box. It came out square. I did not have to muscle anything though, with inter locking rabbit joints, but they dont guarantee square by themselves.reible wrote:Hope you were not depending too much on those rockler corner clamps to get things square........ Looking good.
If you are interested Paul Sellers has a video showing mods that can be made to upgrade the aluminum bar clamps you are using.

Re: Finally, glue up!
Thanks RD, Ya those are mine from Harbor Freight. I will add the wood. I dislike the weight of pipe clamps.
It was just a simple box for a larger drawer under the WW bench. Now to make the upper sliding box with partitions, that will sit on rails and slide sideways for smaller items, about 1 1/2-2" deep and just under half of the width of the main drawer.
