Need some Lighting

I need to add some lighting in the shop, replace one 2 tube 48" florescent with a bad ballast at the other end, and add one in a dark area over the router table, planer, CPMS those are in a different area in a 6x6ft area.
I never have gone with LEDs shop fixtures. This what I am thinking about.

I got these at Home Depot and I love them/ They are used as supplements over my lathe and workbench, but they put out much more light than my main lighting. Color is 4000K, no shadows. They are designed to mount on the ceiling, but I bet they have fixtures that can be hung.

Note that 3200 lumens is a whole bunch of light!

Thanks Chris, I will look into them a HD, about a mile from moms, where I need to install here for the winter shop in the garage with the over head door closed. They look like they are hard wired?
4K is the same as the ones I posted, sure puts a cool light on oil based finishes, been there, pulling hair out over the finish table, on a match, with a sample I did over the work bench in warm light!! A bout 32K. It was the lighting K spectrum differences!!!! I wont make that one again.

I had an experience with LEDs, don,t know if it is indicative or what.

I have path lights along the sidewalk, 4 light total, they use 11 watt filament lights, cost about $5 for four.
Went to Lowes and saw LED replacements. About $9 a piece. Bought four to replace my sidewalk lights. They said they produced the light of 20 watt bulbs while using less than 3 watts Put them in service as the filament lights burned out, over a period or 4 or 5 months. Everything was good.

Then after 6 months the first one burned out. I wrote the company and they suggested it might be a shipping damage and sent me a replacement. About a month later the second one burned out. I pulled all three and took them back to Lowes for a refund. I kept the replacement in service to see how long it will lasts. So far not impressed with these lights.

I have replaced all fluorescent lighting in my house and shop with LED. The advantages are many; such as less heat, no ballasts to replace (expensive), no flicker, almost instant on in cold weather, brighter light, uses about 1/10 the wattage of fluorescent (cheaper to burn), not having to replace bulbs nearly as often makes up for the higher cost per bulb. Needless to say I am totally happy with the LED lighting. Oh yeah, one more thing... the LED's are shatter-proof making them better/safer for the shop environment. Your mileage may vary...

In the house all the std incandescent bulbs except for a few odd types were replaced with florescent. The larger T12 fixtures in the garage were replaced with the more efficient T8's.

I've now replaced all the florescent with a few exceptions noted before with LED bulbs. I even have a few with wifi control. I'm really happy with them and I don't believe any have failed. Not the case with the florescent in the house which were no better then the incandescent bulbs life wise for us.

I'd like to convert the shop lights but the existing fixtures use 32 watts(watt meter reading, advertised as 40W) and the bulbs are in good condition yet so replacing them makes little sense. The ones I'm looking at are just plug in replacements or to save a bit more you can rewire without the ballast to save a little more. The thing is the savings is just not there at this point. Perhaps when the existing bulbs need replacing I will start doing so with the LED's.

Then of course I have to decide do I want the clear or the frosted? Right now I'm leaning towards clear but I don't have any to look at so.........

I got that one that I posted and another one, 3800 Lumens for the area where I have the ER dedicated DP with the 2 sewing machine LED lights, why 2, well the Umbrella light wont fit on it, so 2 of those, front and back, no bit shadow and the other ER in that area with the Aldis power strip with the 2 LED lights on it.
The 4800 Lumens will go in a dark area where the Router table, CPMS and the Grayling is, BUT the overhead door will rise above them when open, but I have 14" of clearance above the door and ceiling so it will work. I did not get a chance to mount them, 1 may have to back, no disfusser/lens with it.
Just like my electric heater for out here the other day, no feet for it. Another trip to the BBS for a return. China, what can I say???

I hung the 3800 Lumens one over by the DP and other Er today, nice. I am happy with the light output. Darn, the old twin tube 48" Florescent, must have weighed 25 lbs with the ballast in it. This LED could not have weighed 5 lbs.

Exchanged the 4200 Lumens, 48" LED today, yes the diffuser/lens was missing. I am impressed!!! Even on a sunny day with 2 windows in the garage, 1 facing north and the other east, when I closed the overhead door, it puts out more light then a 48", twin tube florescent. It took care of the lighting in that area, nicely, and no shadows to speak of, but it is mounted by the overhead door that I painted High Gloss White on the inside
