With the help of this forum, I have procured thr quill assembly for our SS 10e. I am now trying to find a post for installing the quill assembly, particularly looking for advice on if it needs to be lubricated in any way before I put it back together. Any guidance you can give me would be greatly appreciated! Gail

Ignore the part about removing the two screws to remove and replace the gauge collar since the 'new'(to you) one has already has it attached.

Very helpful post. What other bearings might one have to replace on a 10ER? Thinking of overhauling mine this winter (if needed).

Gorgeous. I just acquired my Dads old machine, which he got from his Grandpa. Very similar.
I notice you dont show a tool rest for lathing. That happens to be the piece I am missing as well.
How did you get your ways polished so well? That looks like some deep rust.

Greenie, Grayling, SS stand alone BS and BS SPT, jointer and belt sander, 3 Ers with Speed Changers. I think those 3 cover my ER needs, and space for them.
