I recently purchased (stole) a Shopsmith biscuit joiner on Ebay. It arrived in it's original box and had never been used. I already had a Dewalt biscuit joiner, and never felt comfortable with it. Seemed bulky and awkward. I am in the process of "cleaning" my shop and am installing some shelves. I'm re-purposing some old shelving I had (turned out to be cedar) and it is not quite wide enough. Perfect time to try the biscuit joiner. I set it up and was surprised at how easy it is to install. I did a few test cuts and it works perfectly. Just have one question... WHAT SPEED DO YOU RUN IT AT??? I'm using the Power-Pro
Pics when the shop is clean!

Re: Biscuit Joiner
The instructions call for "T" which I have placed a note next to saying 4100 rpm. If I got that right then you have your answer.
BTW don't get rid of your old biscuit jointer, there will be times when it is easier to use then the shopsmith in fact most of the time. Pretty easy to pull it out of the case and do the joints rather then setting up the shopsmith.

Re: Biscuit Joiner
Trust me Ed, that's one of my problems. I never get rid of anything, but I'm working on it!
