What's More Important On A Bandsaw

Post by hdoilcan »

Just looking for opinions on what you think is more important for general purpose use. A bandsaw with more width cutting capacity or more height cutting capacity? I'm debating between actual 16 1/4"w X 12"h or 13 1/2"w X 14"h.

Will you be milling lumber from rough logs/firewood? If not, I would think that 12" is ample height for resawing boards.

Larger is always better up to a certain point. It all depends what you plan to cut.
