As I understand the "flipping picture problem" ;)
To enable fast processing when taking pictures, Apple devices store all pictures they take as if they are in landscape mode and then store what orientation the device was actually in, in the metadata. When displaying the picture most programs then reference the metadata and make the appropriate adjustment to display correctly.

The team that writes the phpbb software have decided that checking the metadata and adjusting the orientation isn't their concern and it is up to the user to deal with that before downloading. :mad: :confused:

My workaround is to always take photos with the phone in the default landscape position, if I don't want the picture wider than high I chose square.
