Re: WHAT A CHORE - It has never been so hard!
Dead people always vote in Chicago. Time tested method of getting out the vote.
YES the Cubs win!
My grand daughters home work tonight was to watch history being made. So she got to stay up to watch the whole game. Have to wonder how the class will be after all these 5th graders staying up so late. Hope the teacher has some plans to keep them awake.
This was worth staying up for. The election well I don't see me staying up any case. I predict they call it by 9:03 central time.
BTW I plan to vote on election day. Hope everyone here votes what their convictions dictate, actually found it easy to do based on what I'd like to see the county go. Don't like the choices we have but I do see a clear choice in platforms.

I agree with you on the voting, both stink, so I guess no matter what side you are on you had to hold your nose unless you are blind in one eye and cant see out of the other!!

Re: WHAT A CHORE - It has never been so hard!
I stuck my head deeply into the sand, for as long as I possibly could. I did watch the first debate, and was thoroughly disgusted. I also watched the VP debate, and was favorably impressed with Pence.
I did not vote early. But tomorrow morning, I must.
So I just sought out the most reliable advice I know of, from the editorial board of the Columbus Dispatch. They are generally pretty conservative, yet still pragmatic.
What they have to say about this presidential election will undoubtedly be prime fodder for the history books.

You might as well. At this point, nothing said until after the polls close means a darn thing.moggymatt wrote:Gonna try and stay off the radio and TV all day today. Wish me luck!

Sorry this Columbus newspaper has no feeling for the many lost manufacturing companies and jobs in the past decade.BuckeyeDennis wrote: What they have to say about this presidential election will undoubtedly be prime fodder for the history books.![]()

Just got back from the pole, nice day for a walk and there should be no excuses weather wise here... No line at all and not all the booths were occupied when we arrive nor when we left. Hope it was busy early and then will be again later. My wife use to be a pole judge so she picked a time when she figured it wouldn't be to busy and she was right.
Now for a late lunch and try to figure out what to try and watch on TV other then election coverage. Maybe it should be movie night at our house.

The election is over. The results are in. Now all we can to do is HOPE that the CHANGE is what we want.
I would sure like to see what the Generals would call "A Battle Plan"; one with a real time line.
Good Luck America! This would be a good time to contact your Representatives and Senators.

Maybe we can start to undo some of the damage of the Obama years and get this country back on the track of freedom and respect for law and order.

That sounds good but that is the sort of statement that we have been hearing for two years now.garys wrote:Maybe we can start to undo some of the damage of the Obama years and get this country back on the track of freedom and respect for law and order.
How do you do these things that sound so good? Example: It was said last night - "Take better care of our veterans". What does that mean?
Until there is action, those are just words.
Like I said - I would like to see a Battle Plan complete with concrete objectives and statements that declare how we know when we are done and who shall be "responsible" for getting us there.
