Have a Great Thanks Giving and be Thankfull!!

Post by ERLover »

Started this a bit B4 midnight, to be the first!!
Lets be thankful for all we have. Family, health, to what degree, is a relative thing at are ages, and prosperity.
Mom and me, she at 96+6 has deteriorated a bit physically and mentally in the last few months, but functioning as a mid 80 year old.
Today we made Pumpkin pies, just a 12lb Turkey tomorrow, sweet potato, Butternut squash, Asparagus and roasted Brussels Sprouts with bacon and Maple syrup.
To all here have a great one!!!
Just me and mom and Foot Ball. Could have gone to other family but mom does not want the germ exposure with great grand children. Also I dont need the extra work with moms logistics with the O2 and stuff.
Thanks all here!!!

Greenie, Grayling, SS stand alone BS and BS SPT, jointer and belt sander, 3 Ers with Speed Changers. I think those 3 cover my ER needs, and space for them. :)

Happy Thankgiving to all, and keep the sawdust to a minimum today. It's a family/football day! :)

Happy Thanksgivings to all, getting ready to fire up the smoker, since last year we have a new tradition of smoking the turkey, smoked turkey is off the hook. I use primarily apple wood. I might be wrong, but I don't think when this whole turkey deal started, that they had broilers, stove (gas or electric), or deep fat fryers, turkey air cookers etc...they cooked over wood...lol...so every TG nowdays I go old school with the smokers...lol...that's the excuse I've come up with for smoking a turkey, and it's the one I am sticking too, probably throw a couple racks of baby back ribs in there too as a side...hehehe...at any rate hope every one has a wonderful day

Pies are done. The turkey is in the oven. The parade is about to start. It is time. Happy Thanksgiving.
