Anyone interested in a bottle stopper tutorial?

Post by reible »

I'm planning on turning a couple bottle stoppers this coming week and was wonder if I should shoot a few pictures of the build? It's quicker if I don't but someone things they would like to see how I do them then I will.

My new mandrel should be here on Monday, I'm confident that Ruth did a good job on the design so I can also review my thoughts on it when it arrives and I've used it a couple of time.

I'll be turning two woods I haven't turned before so no promises on how they might turn out but if nothing else they can be bad examples of how to do it.

YES, I'd like that Ed. I've been thinking about turning a stopper. Just haven't decided on a design yet.

Bottle stoppers are on my to-do list, and I didn't even know there was a mandrel involved. So here's another vote in favor of some pics.

Count me in also. I have to start packing up my shop after Christmas. If all goes well we will be moving mid January. I normally have had a bigger shop than the house but other way around this time. You have to let the other half win sometimes.

YES Ed I would also like to be included. Are you by chance going to rurn some of the laminated woods that are in ROCKLER cataloge? They appear to be very neato.
