WTB speed reducer

Post by Tking308 »

I've been watching ebay, Craigslist and even the marketplace on FB with no luck. Anyone here want to sell their speed reducer that's collecting dust?

Happy New Year.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad newsbut they rarely come up on E Bay or Craigs list and when they do the asking price is up near the factory price with no warranty. I thought about selling mine when I upgraded to the Power Pro headstock but changed my mind when I realized that 35 RPM was good for finishing bowls.

Thanks Bill, that's what I figured. The only one I've come across is in a used tool store 700 miles away, they don't ship and want $239 for it.

If you can be patient, one may turn up. I got lucky and found one on Craigslist for $50 a few years ago. If you set up alerts for what you are interested in, and in cities as far as you are willing to travel or where you have friends or family who could help handle the shipping, some bargains are still out there. And if you add your location to your profile, other forum members here might be able to help you by keeping an eye open and let you know when one becomes available. And lastly, check the "Heads Up Bargain Available" sticky post at the top of the Community section where other members frequently share links of good finds. Good luck!

Thanks for the suggestions BR549 (I like the user name). As a matter of fact, I'll post the link to the one I found so someone can get it if they want.

Speaking of which, I've been meaning to ask ... are you a Hee Haw fan?

As an adolescent, I watched it often, mostly for the occasional glimpse of Barbi Benton. ;) Junior Samples, not so much.
