Shop Visitor

We had a visitor the the shop today, a Red-Tailed Hawk. Actually he was here yesterday also on the other end of the shop roof. Another 4 or so inches of snow last night. The high today was 20.2* and that was at midnight. The low so far is 5.6* at 9:30 this morning. At 3PM it is 11.1* so I expect it to get down around 0* or less tonight.

Beautiful bird and great photo. He appears to be hungry. You need to put out something to attract a mouse or two so this beautiful bird can eat. LOL

Please be careful in that snow. I would tell you what it is like here on the Northern Gulf Coast of Florida, but I really don't want to rub it in. It is supposed to get into the upper 20's overnight Friday and Saturday nights. Draining the hoses and making sure all plants that need protection will be cared for. No pets. Hallelujah.

Last night it got down to -10.6* and the power went out at 4:30AM for about an hour and 45 Min. Right now it is a balmy 4.4* and the wind chill is -6*.

It is -24 here this morning and supposed to get up to near 0 today. Yesterday was about the same. We got up to +4 in the daytime. That was the warmest temp we have in days.
On top of that, we have 53 inches of snow on the ground and more forecast for tomorrow, Monday, and Tuesday.

The house cat won't go outside this morning.

It has warmed up. 30* now, but it snowed most of the day. The cowboys have been out today to check on the heard. It doesn't get any better than this.
