Creative idea.
Looks like added speed range over stock? See top arrow
Like how this end just kind of sits there...... See lower arrow

As has been said, it was not standard equipment. I was an accessory. There are three other things that IMO are in the same category. The complete set of MK 5/V SPT adapters for the 10ER, the 4E jointer and mounting bracket and the lower saw guard.BuckeyeDennis wrote:What's the story on those, John? I own 10E SN E-1750, and it came with what appears to be all of the original 10E stuff, as well as some 10ER-vintage upgrades such as the newer aux table and rear fence clamp. But I'm pretty sure that table-raiser assembly was not included.jsburger wrote:I have one like that I bought on eBay a number of years ago. I check eBay daily and this one is only the second one I have ever seen. I don't remember what I paid for mine. It certainly is not a bargain vs the crank and arm if you just want one to use. As a collectors item I would pay that price if I didn't already have one since they are so very rare.rpd wrote:Not necessarily a bargain, but a very rare original 10E table raiser.

I have the complete SPT adapter set. I got it on eBay and it is the only complete set I have ever seen. I also have 2 4E jointers. One is complete and the other one is missing the hinge plate. Then the rarest of rare, the lower saw guard. I don't have one. I have only ever seen one on eBay. I bided on it but didn't go high enough. At the time I didn't know how rare they are. If I ever see another one I won't let it get away.

Re: Heads Up - Bargain 'available' - Two 10ER's in San Diego
http://sandiego.craigslist.org/csd/tls/5991246287.html
One with speed changer (with belts installed incorrectly) for $175.
Second one with without speed changer, painted yellow for $150.
Sounds like some dealing may be possible ... both for $300 obo.
Both with a lot of rust and in need of a lot of TLC.
And looks like a jig saw may be included too.

Shopsmith - $125 (Wellsville Kansas)

This is an older machine. It has been sitting for some time and has some rust on the slides. There are a few attachments with it. What you see is all I have.
too far for me, over a 4 hour drive one way

Re: Heads Up - Bargain 'available'
A 10E with speed changer but no aux table apparent. 10E aux table for speed changer a good deal.
Looks to be in respectable condition(no EXCESSIVE rusting).
Speed changer alone is worth $125.

Looks like it's time for rjent's stable to grow again ... the double-booty is only an hour from his town. Which I gather is almost next door, out west.

I drive that long to get to the grocery. Store of choice (not just availability).BuckeyeDennis wrote:Looks like it's time for rjent's stable to grow again ... the double-booty is only an hour from his town. Which I gather is almost next door, out west.
