Fast Shipping

Post by joe_cool »

Shopsmith has really stepped up their shipping times. I just ordered a new PowerPro Headstock yesterday 1/31 and It is being shipped today 2/1. I was expecting at least 3 to 4 weeks before they would ship.

Has anyone else experienced this quick of a turn around?

I have not purchased anything that significant but what I have ordered has been in the shipping channels within a work or two at the most.

They are working through their issues (whatever they were).

Dusty,

I have too in the past ordered smaller items and within a day or 2 they were shipped. This just surprised me  that within 1 day a new Powerpro headstock was shipped out. I wasn't planning on it being shipped that fast. :).. Guess i need to get busy preparing for it..

That is a really good sign. Maybe they are selling so many that they have decided to keep some in stock rather than building to order.

Quick shipping like that says that Shopsmith had the part in stock so they could ship right away.
I recently ordered a part too, and it was in stock and shipped the next working day. If they wouldn't have had it in stock, I would have had to wait until they had one. When I made the order, the website indicated that the part was in stock, and it was right.

I can see this for any small parts they have but a powerpro Headstock. The only thing i can think of is maybe they have a few headstock to build Mark 7's in stock so they could just ship mine.

At any case I am ecstatic :)

I bought a few things recently, tall DC bag, lower bags, a couple other things. Got them Thursday after ordering on Saturday or Sunday; quick indeed.

I ordered a DIY PowerPro Upgrade on 3 Feb (from Mike Young @ the Lowe's demo) and it shipped yesterday. It is scheduled to be delivered on Saturday, 11 Feb.

I called customer service on Monday 6 Feb and was told the PP DIY upgrades are not put together until they are ordered and there is usually a 3 to 4 week wait between ordering and delivery. Surprise! Surprise! Order to shipping in my case was 5 days and order to delivery will be 8 days! I'm a very happy camper!! :D :D

Hope the upgrade goes as smooth as the first one I did a few years back.
