Magna jigsaw table wobble

Post by stilllearning »

Have searched the forums but can't find anything on the following problem. Am setting up an old (model 610) Magna jigsaw (aerial number indicates from late 1950s) and I can't keep the table from moving. Have tightened everything down, but can still grip the leading edge of the table and rock it up and down about 1/16th of an inch. Thanks in advance for any ideas you might have.

Are the trunion mounting screws tight? Is the trunion clamping knob tight?

i.e. is the table moving AND the trunion also moving?
