Festool Domino questions for owners????

Post by reible »

I have allocated a few dollars for more Festool items and while I have a couple of options I'm going to keep open one of them is for the DF500Q.

They have what appears to be some useful additions in the form of the cross stop set and the trim stop. Since I have no experience with the tool I wonder if the package deal you can buy with the Domino and the two additions would be worth it since you save almost the cost of one of them.

Festool deals are hard to come by, so any savings would be helpful if the additions are worth it.

So what say you owners, do you have these attachments or have you just gone with the bare tool?

I have the package and never use the cross stops. I have used the trim stop a couple of times on narrow stock but after getting used to the tool now I opt to just mark my pieces. I can usually do that a lot quicker than setting up the stops. If you were doing hundreds of the same thing then they would be worth the time to set up.
