that aren’t factual.
Sometimes I use Google to enter a phone number to see who called. Today I decided to enter my cell phone number and my wife’s.
Her number came back with 3 owners and mine with 4 (from Spokeo which got only 1 right; others were wrong 100% of the time). Only one of the owners for her number was correct. For my number none were correct. Of course they want you to pay money to find out information about the owner (the publish only first name).
What I found interesting is that I have been the sole owner of my number since 1994 and so has my wife. I worked for Nextel, the first company to launch digital service and all employees at the corporate office were assigned a number with the last four digits corresponding to their office extension. Quite nice because we often knew others extensions and it was easy to get them on the cell phone. After the lease expired on the HQ space that plan went away but we kept the same cell phone number.
Obviously these companies that want to sell you information are frauds.
