Everyone I've ever met who actually is from Ireland says they don't celebrate St. Patrick's Day there. But, whatever.

When I was there in a country side town, it was a very somber holiday, church/mass in the morning then a quite family dinner later in the day.
Then in the evening some normal/as usual local pub time.
Not like here in the USA a drunken party.
