Powerstand

I've been looking around for a (free)downloadable PDF version of the manual, and parts diagram for the now discontinued Powerstand (not powerstation). I can't seem to find it. I'm wondering about the Power switch used. Also the tool mounting bracket..seems to be as rare as Hens teeth! Anyone help me here? Thanks in advance.

Oh wise and knowledgeable one..That is indeed the bracket. There must have been a motor switch also. I know any such 110v would probably do..and probably will, but I was wondering what Shopsmith had in mind then.

I am still looking for data sheets on the switch. I know I have them because I bought my power stand new. However, the only way I would use a Shopsmith switch if I was building up a Power Stand would be if I just happened to have one or found a real gonga.

There are many safety switches available that do the same thing. That would be my switch of choice.

The mounting bracket is available from SS and they are available on eBay in large numbers all the time.

I've been watching for a week now..lots of pulley guards, but few brackets. I'll keep watching. Thanks for the reply.

I picked up the SS last Thurs. Everything seems to be as I expected. With the exception of the Power-stand. Seems the motor (Epson 3/4 HP) turns the wrong direction. Clockwise. The motor tag states "motor non reversible CW shaft". Not sure what the cw shaft thing is. Is this possible or is my limited mind not seeing it? This motor sits about midway up the legs, at the brace level. This was never a working stand as I understood it. The owner never completed it with pulleys, and a belt. Maybe this is why?

I also picked-up another Power-stand on the same trip..different owner. It however has a different setup. It has the motor suspended upside down just below the top of the top shelf. It is an 1 1/2 HP as it was for the planer. It also turns counterclockwise! As it should.

Anyone have any advise for the clockwise spin on the motor.

I've not seen, or been able to find any instructions on the Power-stands.

CW shaft end means when viewed from the shaft end, the shaft rotates Clock Wise(shaft top rotates towards right).

Depending upon the SPT to be mounted, the direction does not matter.

The jig saw is bi-directional as is the scroll saw.

The belt sander can be driven from either side(the drive shaft extends out both sides).

The belt direction can be reversed by rotating the motor 180 around a vertical axis. However that places the motor 'off to the side' of the SPT.

Not sure I follow that. I'm wanting to mount both Bandsaw, and Jointer on separate Powerstands. They both look to be rotation specific.
