Accessory Cart for ShopSmith Attachments
Here's a cart I recently made for SS accessories & attachments. Solved my space problems since I had limited floor space and no wall space. Also the cart is on lockable casters, so can roll around depending on project. Makes lifting some of the heavier tools on to the SS easier because the cart can be positioned close and the lift height is about 15". Cart holds Belt Sander, Jointer, Band Saw, saw blades & guards, several disc sanders, Biscuit Joiner, and other small items.

Re: Accessory Cart for ShopSmith Attachments
Thanks. I originally had a shelf under the SS, like what is in the web site, but it would only hold the smaller items. And it got dusty all the time. The "box" has a center web of 3/4" ply, so items can be stored on both sides. It's like an I-beam, so the cart is really rigid, but not heavy. I find it really convenient to be able to move the cart around depending on the project. The total cost was about $85 (about $34 for the casters at Lowes). Half sheet of 3/4 ply & couple of 1x4's were most of the material. Took a little while to figure out how to nest the band saw, belt sander & jointer. Even fully loaded it moves easier than the premium casters on the SS. Here's a picture of the other side.

It's amazing how much stuff is fitted in a compact space - and it's all easily accessible, too. Outstanding design!
