Like I said, you are woofing (fooling) us. Yours is one of, if not the most organized shop(s) I've ever seen! You might as well let up! You'll never convince us that you are disorganized.

On the other hand - Thanks for setting a standard that my envy and shame will cause me to try to emulate!!

Well then, it seems that you already have a solution that works. Why then, if you do knot mind my asking, wood you need to hose out your garage with water?

When one blows out the work space, some of the dust is simply sent airborne only to resettle. When I attempt what I consider a deep cleaning of the shop, I move most everything out of the shop, do a good blow out with the fans running in the doorway and then, after about an hour, wash the floor down.

While everything is out of doors - I also take the blower (or compressed air) to that stuff. Ideally, this is down on a breezy day so that the airborne dust is carried off to be deposited in the desert where dust just blends in.

I don't do this very often because I takes away from real shop time.

All that makes sense. Do you run your DC while doing the "blow-out"? If so, are you saying that it does knot do the job that you want it to?

thanks for the clarification.

best not let that son-in-law see you making sawdust or he may start talking about quarries, bakeries, and silos. woodn't want him to try to move your shop to that shed.

The son-in-law is not someone for me to worry about. If anyone generates spontaneously combustible materials - he does.

He and my daughter have horses. When the stalls and stables are cleaned it doesn't all go directly to the dump ...... need I say more.

I just have to keep him from exciting the imagination of SWMBO.
