At least for me.
I have been on a quest (I don't know how it started but it did) for a number of years to get everything 10ER. I guess it started when I bought a local 10ER for $125 that turned out to be what every one says was a demo machine. It will be restored for display only with all the attachments. It has the SS logo on the back side of the head stock. So I guess that was the start. Then there is the copy of PTWFE that was in Hans Goldschmidt's personal library. That came from Skip Campbell who bought that copy and a copy signed by the author DeChistoforo. I hope to own the signed copy some day. Next was an original copy of the preliminary 10E owners manual that was shipped with the very first 10E's pending the real manual. It is the only original copy known at this point. Everett Davis is restoring it so it will be available to all. Then there was a complete set of MK V SPT adapters for the 10ER from eBay. It is the only complete set I have ever seen. In between there were two 4E jointers, two jointer head rest one with the hinge plate and one with out. The hinge plate is very rare due to breakage. A month or so ago a headrest with hinge plate showed up on eBay and I got it, $130. I missed a single hinge plate today that didn't sell with a starting bid of $20. AAARRRGGG. I missed it because I was at an appointment. I will get it when re-listed. The only thing I don't have is the rarest of the rare, the lower saw guard. I have seen one on eBay a few years ago and did not bid high enough because at that time I did not know how rare they are.
OK, sorry for being long winded. Now to the point. I scored a complete pulley adapter set to run the 4E jointer. It was two listings from the same seller. I have never seen them before on eBay. It consists of a motor pulley with a larger bore . There is a sleeve for the motor shaft and an extension for the motor shaft and a 5" pulley for the shaft extension to drive the jointer. $74.52 for the set. That is a bargain.
Pictures when they get here.

Re: A Big Score
Do they look something like this, perchance?
I knew that my motor had the large jointer pulley installed, but I assumed that motor actually had a 15/16" shaft. I'd never disassembled it ... it's just been sitting in my workshop, patiently waiting to be restored.
Thanks for the education!

Re: A Big Score
John, If I happen to come across a lower saw guard for the 10ER, I will let you know.

Re: A Big Score
The pulley set came today. It was shipped USPS Priority on Friday from New Jersey. The pulleys are very very nice. The sleeve and shaft have some scores but nothing that won't clean up just fine. A great purchase IMO.

Re: A Big Score
My shaft extension has score marks like that as well. I'm guessing that a PO missed the clearance hole with the set screw, tightened it on the OD of the extension instead, and then the pulley spun under load. I'll be very careful about that when I reassemble.
Have you restored either of your 4E jointers yet? Mine has good paint, but some surface rust on the beds. Probably a job for Evaporust, with the jointer upside down in a shallow tray.
