Replacing sheaves on my motor and can't find a hair pin or set screw anywhere to remove sheave the one (closest to motor). A O smith motor 1 1/8 hp. Any one have and idea to share? I sheave, with button and bearing on speed control too.
Thanks,
Tom

Try this at step 13, note, and step 14 for the fan sheave. http://www.shopsmith.com/ss_forum/downl ... p?id=37309

Re: Sheave removal on ao 1 1/8 hp motor
Thank you for the information it worked for me!! Now I need to find some used sheaves etc for my 1 1/8 hp OA Smith motor. New I am looking at $180.00 for them. Not sure it is worth putting that much money in it?
Thanks again

Re: Sheave removal on ao 1 1/8 hp motor
If you only need the two sheaves then you would order the 504208 floating sheave for $34.96 and the 504207 fan sheave for $32.75. The add shipping and possibly taxes but that is far from $180, perhaps $80?
