Frank Loyd Wright Trivet

Post by berry »

I had off-cuts from the storage unit I made a few weeks ago and decided they needed a home. I glued up the cherry and scrolled this. The "pattern" I found browsing the internet. 6.125" square. Cherry .625" thick.

Looks very nice, and great work!!! As a researcher and most of my furniture and things are FLW designs that does not ring a bell. Basically his style, but nothing close to a reproduction of one of his classic designs. I am not trashing you, but I would not call it a FLW piece, not even close except for all the square work.

Greenie, Grayling, SS stand alone BS and BS SPT, jointer and belt sander, 3 Ers with Speed Changers. I think those 3 cover my ER needs, and space for them. :)

Interesting. Is this from here:

https://centuryhouseinc.com/product/fra ... t-trivets/

I see they sell laser cut versions in cherry. It looks like the Ennis Block. I also like the Lake Geneva Tulip and the Storer Block.

I don't know about this but it sure resembles other FLW works.

If you look at his glass work, and I dont know how to verbalize it, but the squares cut in/over lab the opposite way.
