Double Tilt
I have two Shopsmith's and was wondering if anyone has taken the tilt mount from one and put it on the other end to see if a double tilt could be developed. I am just beginning to explore this option so it is pretty new. At one point I was able to find an article on the net that described how one person did something on his Shopsmith but it seems to have been deleted. Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thanks Larry

Re: Double Tilt
Yes, you can convert a Mark V to double tilt by replacing the Headrest Assembly (504148) with a Base Arm Assembly (504144). This gives you a Base Arm Assembly at both ends thus a Double Tilt.lalkie01 wrote:I have two Shopsmith's and was wondering if anyone has taken the tilt mount from one and put it on the other end to see if a double tilt could be developed. This works very well with only one hang up. You need to develop some sort of pivot pins (one on each end) that could be pulled and reinserted easily.
