A4 sized papers, what do you do with them?

Post by reible »

It might seem strange but today's quest is to find a simple ring binder for A4 size papers. My other binders are while with clear front pockets and it would be nice to match them abet a different size.

If you start buying things from other countries the instructions might be in English but the paper size is not. At least I'm finding it that way.

After searching online one can find ringed binders for that size paper but for a nice matching style the best I could find was over $15 for just one binder!

For about half that price I can get a more utilitarian version.

Now I know some of you must have had to deal with this in the past, so what did you do?

Is this what you are looking for. These are three inch but I would bet the same company has others.

While I think I'm going to order one of these just to get those papers put somewhere safe I'm still interested in other options.

If there is sufficient margin, I'll just trim A4 sheets down to 11" tall, and put them in a standard binder with related stuff.

But honestly, I'm way behind on filing paper manuals & instruction sheets. What I do instead is download the PDF versions when I first buy something, and organize them in a Dropbox folder. Then it's super-easy to access them on my iPad. Or even a cell phone, in a crunch. I rarely bother to dig out the paper copies.

My problem with the PDF solution is that a very large majority of what I have is not available in PDF. Examples being most of the manuals for Shopsmith equipment.

This thread has been useful for me though. I have often complained about my HP printer margins. This discussion caused me to check my setups. Yup, my printer defaults to A4.
