June in IL

Post by reible »

These bugs don't appear until June right? Went for evening walk and came home to 4 of them on the screen door.

For those who don't get it, these are June Bugs.

Ed, I just checked the calendar.

Those are May bugs. :D

(Oh, can we blame Al Gore for
the global warming?
He didn't discover the Internet,
but DID invent Global Warming!)
And, got a Nobel, Oscar, Clio, and
a whole pot full of other awards,
along with close to a BILLION
dollars.

Basic 10ER, Parts machine. Will be a semi-dedicated drill-press machine.
10 ER, a "survivor" of the trailer fire, in the back yard, needing restoration. Has a Mk5 headrest. Finally, stripped down.
Numerous parts, for Model 10 stuff. Except for lower saw guard, A and B adapters, I've got it.

Looking for one more, or some 9 inch extension table raisers.

They are starting to show up here too like they do every year. I expect a lot more of them by the time June arrives. You can call them June bugs, but they can't read a calendar so they hatch out whenever they are ready.

If you would care to add a location to your profile then we would have a better idea where else it snowed.

I know it wasn't near me, we were in the 80's again today. We are trying not to turn the AC on until June first or after, 84 in the house and I'm not comfortable.

No snow here yet, but 35 degrees this morning and tomorrow morning is supposed to be 5 degrees colder than today. So, hopefully the only white we see is frost and not snow too.
So, the bad news is that it is freezing at night, but the good news is that the junebugs are burrowed into the ground again waiting for Spring to arrive.

OK, here we've been the 8* degree (F) highs.

Tomorrow, we're scheduled to break into
3 digit highs. (AGAIN!) :D
